today's my dad's birthday. i tried to write him a poem but my stubborn mind drew a blank.. for how do u express your appreciation for someone so dear with just a few words?
the singaporean chinese family is not exactly the most overtly affectionate. but as i grow older (though none the wiser), i've learnt to appreciate the subtle manifestations of his fatherly love. and i am immensely grateful to be blessed with a role model so down-to-earth, so dignified, so kind and so true...
