TAKING A BREATHER
it's been a while... miss my bloggie..... finally, the awful battle is almost over... had three exams back to back... those pple are really merciless.... finally... finally i can get out of my cave to embrace civilisation again... but yupyup, battle's not over yet.... i will be able to seize victory on monday.... stay tuned...
read adr's blog... how can he diss my all-time inspiring phrase? grrrr....haha...
but seriously, i came across it when i was 15.. "reach for the moon, even if u fall, u'll land on a star..." i know it sounds duh and dreamy and frightfully unrealistic, but cmon, we are NOT meant to scrutinise each and every word, tear them apart, leaving the original meaning naked and shaking in the cold, piercing wind of man's cynicism. of course we know that the moon is nearer to earth! that's why it appears BIGGER.. and hey, let's just sit back and savour the inspirational deeper meaning behind it. guess it's cos i'm all the star- dreams-glitter kinda gal... even though it's been 6 years, i still believe very much in it.... i believe that in order to achieve something, u have to have a goal... whether it's a small thing like mastering a piano piece, or striving to become a dr, it is not only the end result that matters.. it's the process of fighting the battle, and to know that there are pple around you who are sharing the same aspiration.... and that even if u fail halfway (touchwood!), you would have gained more than what u had expected to accomplish anyway. yes pple, now THAT is the beauty of that phrase.
