SUNNY SIDE UP ON THE COUNTRY
wangaretta is a beautiful place... almost always sunny (which is very rare for aussie weather in victoria), vast green pastures, lovely people.... it is pretty much what I had expected but much more.
went to a quaint old town by teh name of beechworth and saw some pretty interesting stuff. Went to the old courthouse where the notorious ned kelly was trialed and convicted, it was great, my first time in a court room. stood in the witness stand as well haha! reckon adrian would have quite enjoyed that.
anyways, went for a nice lunch and desert at the beechworth bakery (the choc eclair must have been packed with a million Calories), and then it's back to the wineries.

which comes to the highlight of my whole trip. no, we didn;t get high on all the wine. a simple trip to the king river winery, add in a dash of luck and providence, and that equated to:
1. a taste of the winery owner's best wines
2. an interesting brief intro abt the art of winemaking
3. a box full of oranges and lemons (We even picked a few ourselves)
4. A peep at the winemaker's harley
5. some of his lollies
6. a ride in his land cruiser
7. a tour of his 10 acres property
8. a race with teh kangeroos and wallabies
9. i bottle of free rose
hmmmmmmm..... did i just mention that the country people are lovely?? haha
and wenjing, i know this is a bit late, but happy birthday...
