IDOL MANIA
i am rather shy to admit that i'm quite an idol fan.. and i know i may upset quite a handful of pple when i say this, but man, i'm sooooooooo glad that taufik won haha..
on hindsight, it's really quite amazing how taken singaporeans are by this idol thing... actually, same goes to aussies, americans, europeans blahblahblah...
i am the type who HOPES that other pple will vote for taufik, but finds it irrational to waste 50 cents an sms to send in a vote myself.. but yest, i voted. not becos i'm boy crazy or trying to relive my adolescent years (not that i'm very old of course ahem), but becos for once in a long time, my whole family sat down in front of the Tv to witness the crowning of the first singapore idol. and for once in a long time, my siblings and i actually have something in common to bitch abt... besides, "did u watch singapore idol yest" is very good way to break the ice with colleagues who are having the working blues...
also, it's simply wonderful to watch these brave pple, for they have the courage to sacrifice many things to realise their dream to be a singer... something that i would love to do too...
but logic.. logic led me in another dirn...
one that i won't ever regret, but there's always a little tinge of .... what if?..
can anyone really have a passion for more than 1 thing?
