A TRIBUTE
a tribute to those who sacrificed
unwillingly, unfortunately, unprepared....
their lives fell together with the caving debris,
and the hearts of their loved ones promptly followed...
one cannot understand their thoughts of impending doom,
nor visualise the horror that met their tearful eyes...
what used to be one of the safest places in Asia was no longer,
how long are we going to take peace for granted?
a tribute to those who sacrificed,
without a warning, without a word, without a goodbye...
and for those they left behind, we share
your pain, your sorrow, your grief...
be strong, be true, and prove
the cruel reality wrong...
for life goes on
and the day will still break at dawn...

though it's never going to be suffice....

for you'll no longer need to feel fear and pain
