A BIRTHDAY LIKE NO OTHER
1900 Jas "ring ring" " hey gal... sorry.. can't meet you at dinner as i've promised... gotta
shower.. can we change it to much later?"
me: disappointed and very hungry and very much looking forward to the buffet dinner
"ok.... call me when u are done so that you can pick me up from my place"
1950 Jas :"ring ring" hey... can't seem to find my keys. can you pls come over to help
me look for them?"
me: ................. "ok....."
2000 i couln't believe how cold the night was... as i stepped onto the pavement, tiny
raindrops carressed my face... I felt alone in the blistering cold, desperately trying to
fight off the cruel wind as i trudged on...
2010 "ring ring"
no answer
" ring ring"

2011 argh.... is no one at home?
2012 jas:" sorry. u can come up now"
2013 i reached the door of apartment no 21.. after a few knocks, the door creaked open...
the room was pitch dark... before my mind could even register what was going on,
the room exploded with screams of "surprise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
2014 oh my goodness!!!!!!!! i couldn't believe my eyes!!! all my frens were in that room!!!
this is a surprise party for me!!!!!!!! just like what u see in the movies!!!!!
joy? astonishment? exclamation? no words can sum up my emotions at that instant..
2015 as the room exploded once again with the birthday song and plenty of hoorays after,
i stood in the middle of the room, and stared into every single pair of eyes present..
at that very instant, i realised how lucky i am.... thank you so so much.... navina,
jas , chun jay, hs, and everyone who came into my life and made it so colourful and
fulfilling...
thank you so so much....
2016 i made a wish and blew out my candles.... this is the best birthday celebration ever...
