REMEMBER THE TITANS

it's funny how we always say, "oh my goodness... i wish the exams will be over soon.. we'll have so much to do after that!!"
we're wrong.. for these past few days, i haven't done anything really worth mentioning...
'hmmm.... perhaps save for catching "remember the titans" by denzel washington..

i know i know... that movie was released in 2000, which is equivalent to a million years ago, but i never got the chance to watch it till now... and man, it's a blast.... haven;t cried so hard because of a movie in ages... (the fact that i cry at almost every movie notwithstanding) this movie depicts the racial divide that wrecked the hearts of many in Alexandria, USA so poignantly that it is deserving of every dollar it made in the box office. best of all, it's based on a true story!!!!

inspired, i checked up on the TITANS 1971 football team on the web (all hail the wonders of the internet), and i found every bit of true info to be as touching and heart-wrenching as the bits in the movie..

yes pple, i'm inspired..... it's cruel and nauseating how the world still jugdes others by their skin colour. it's almost as if it's innate... but hell.. it isn't.. and although movies like TITAN and AMERICAN HISTORY X stir up one's negative emotions abt the cruelty of man's twisted desire to be superior and to feel deceptively secure, the sad truth is, the majority of the pple choose to acknowledge the divide, but not do much abt it...

don't be mistaken, i am not trying to act noble... for i am guilty of taking the passive stand...
